To All Members of the Clan Logan Society International & Others it May Concern,
Let it be known that on this day, the Eighth day of May of 2023 A.D., Linda Logan Street-Ely is appointed and confirmed as the Vice President of Clan Logan Society International in accordance with the Constitution of the Society.
It is with much pleasure that I make this announcement. Linda demonstrates not simply a passion for the goals of the Society, but also a willingness to step up to challenges placed in front of her.
First among these challenges is Linda's editing of the Society's newsletter, Our Valour. Linda has taken this particular challenge head on. With this most recent newsletter edition I think you will see her editorial voice in full bloom. Linda has indicated to me that she has even bigger plans ahead for the newsletter, which she will continue to edit in addition to vice-presidential duties.
As Linda steps into the role of Vice President, she will step away from her other challenging role as Secretary of the Society. I have come to rely on Linda, as the Secretary of the Society, to review my communiques and writings, and have asked her to be a sounding board to my many ideas about the direction the Society should be headed. Linda does an excellent job in the role of ‘devil’s advocate,’ bringing up viewpoints that perhaps I haven't considered. It is this skill that I will find most valuable in a Vice President.
I hope you will all join me in welcoming and supporting Linda in her new role.
