Regional Changes
Greetings CLS Members Worldwide!
There are many changes on the horizon for Clan Logan Society International. At the upcoming board meeting we will be discussing some of these, including an update to our existing bylaws as well as changes coming to our regional charters. And of course there is so much planning still to be done as we prepare for the upcoming Clan Logan Family Convention in April of 2025 where we will nominate a Clan Commander.
With that as a backdrop, I want to let you know of a leadership change that is taking place.
Steven Logan, our first Commissioner for Canada, has made the decision to resign his position in the Society. For nearly a decade Steven has been working to spread the stories and history of Clan Logan across all of modern Canadian society. He has worked diligently in his efforts since being appointed to this position by Vernon Logan, the first President of the Society.
Doubtless, Steven will continue to be active at many of the Highland festival and games in Canada, most especially in the Montreal Highland Games where he currently serves as the Clans and Community Organizations Director. Steven is also active in many other non-Scottish-heritage societies, including Lion's Club International, where he really seems to align with their mission.
Words cannot express our thanks to Steven for the role he played for so long in our first regional chapter, and his efforts to expand our membership in that area. We look forward to seeing where Steven's lifepath takes him as he begins to work more with other charitable organizations.
A replacement for Steven will be the subject of a later announcement.
Mòran taing Steven!
J. Kevin Logan
President
Clan Logan Society International
